A few years ago I tried a temperature blanket, and got bored of doing a little motif every day after about 1 month. This year I decided to try something a little different, and made up my own rules.
Every week I do a round (or 2 if the should be the same color) of a blanket in a certain color based on how much weight I lost (or gained).
For the blanket I am using Red Heart Soft, in 4 colors.
- teal for weight loss of 2 lbs or more
- deep sea for weight loss of 0.5 lbs – 1.5 lbs
- off white if my weight stays the same
- charcoal if I gain weight
My end goal is to loose 100 lbs by September 2019. That is slightly less than 1 lb per week. I am currently 10% of the way to my goal.
I track my calories with myfitnesspal app on my phone, and I have a physically demanding job, so I burn a lot of calories just working. My boyfriend (who lost 70 lbs in the last year and a half and is at his goal weight) is very supportive and we try to go out for a walk every evening after work, weather permitting.
So, not my best week, not my worst week. I gained 1 lb, but I also was off for 5 days (yay! vacation!), so I definitely did a lot more sitting around crocheting and playing video games than usual. I also had a few bad days as far as staying within my calorie limit. But I am back on track now, and hoping to see my numbers going in the right direction again after my time off!
Since I gained weight this week, I used Charcoal and completed Rnd 43 in Part 10 of the ATB CAL. Next week is granny stitches, and I am oddly excited!
Thank you for reading, and I hope I have inspired you to make a positive change in your life!
