So, after a particularly lazy summer, and some weight gain, I am back to tracking calories, and hopefully shedding some pounds.
My big inspiration is an upcoming wedding – I have about 2 years to loose 100 lbs. That’s just 1 little pound each week. Should be manageable, I hope!
Each Friday morning I weigh myself, and my weight compared to the previous week is how I determine my color choice for the round of the blanket.
I am using Red Heart Soft, in 4 colors for my blanket.
- teal for weight loss of 2 lbs or more
- deep sea for weight loss of 0.5 lbs – 1.5 lbs
- off white if my weight stays the same (within 0.5 lbs)
- charcoal if I gain weight
I am using a 5.5 mm (I/9) crochet hook. Check out these adorable and colorful clay hooks from TheSpeckledClay. She made me a custom Fluttershy – wonderful work!
I did round 39 in charcoal to represent the weight I’ve gained all summer, and then round 40 in teal, for the weight loss from my first week of tracking calories again. I lost about 8 lbs, but I know most of that was less food in my system from changing my eating habits, I know I won’t see numbers like that every week.
Friday morning, I was back down to 232.5 lbs. And so far this week is off to a good start. I have been eating better, and tracking everything down to the ketchup on my scrambled eggs.
Thank you for reading, and I hope I can inspire you to take control of your life and meet whatever goals you set for yourself.
