Glove Pattern – All sizes
When there is a difference in instructions between the sizes, they will be listed as follows:
small (medium, large)
Using main colour yarn, leave a long tail, and start with a slip knot and ch 27
- or you can fhdc 26, and skip to row 2
row 1: hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across
row 2: ch 1, turn, Hdcblo in each st across
repeat row 2 until your piece measure 5” (6”, 7”) or 13 cm (15.5 cm, 18 cm), with your ending on the opposite side of your starting tail. Count the number of rows you did, and make sure your second glove is the same size.
For all sizes, start sewing your final round to your beginning chain. From the top edge, sew 8 stitches, and tie off your yarn. From the bottom edge, sew up 13 stitches. This will leave you with 5 stitches for the thumb hole. For large size gloves you can leave 6 or even 7 stitches not sewn for a proper fit.
Flip your gloves so the seams are on the inside.
Using contrast color yarn, join with a sl st along the thumb hole and sc evenly around. Join to the fist sc with a sl st. Finish off, and weave in any ends.
Using contrast color yarn, join with a sl st along the top edge and sc evenly around 24 (28, 32) stitches. Join to the fist sc with a sl st. Finish off, and weave in any ends.
Using contrast color yarn again, join with a sl st along the bottom edge and sc evenly around 24 (28, 32) stitches. Join to the fist sc with a sl st.
Rnd 2-3: ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st to the first sc
Rnd 4: ch 1, 2 sc (picot, 4 sc) repeat around, sc in last 2 stitches. Sl st to the first sc.
Finish off, and weave in any ends.
